Curious by nature.
Builder by choice.

I'm Miiro Joel, a Computer Science diploma student exploring the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and software development. I turn ideas into useful systems, from business applications to data-driven insights.

01 / The story

One journey.
Connected interests.

My path began with web development, expanded into data analytics, and continues toward building reliable data systems.

I started with web development and enjoyed building interfaces and applications. That interest led me to explore data analytics through Google and IBM learning programs, then go deeper into SQL, Python, and data engineering.

I enjoy working across the journey from collecting and organizing data to understanding it and building software that people can use. I continue to explore web development as a practical way to bring ideas and solutions to life.

Outside technology, I participate in community health education and blood donation awareness activities.

PROJECT 01 / SOFTWARE

Hatchery Management System

A full-stack application designed to digitize hatchery operations, manage sales and credit, track inventory, and provide management reporting.

What I built

  • Role-based access for managers, sales agents, and customers.
  • Order and credit tracking with a three-month deferred-payment workflow for starter feed.
  • Inventory validation to prevent orders exceeding chick availability.
  • Customer order tracking and a managerial analytics dashboard.
PythonDjango SQLiteBootstrap
PROJECT 02 / ANALYTICS

Bike-Share Usage Analysis

Google Data Analytics Capstone: comparing casual riders and annual members to identify potential membership-growth strategies.

Key findings

  • Average trips were approximately 24 minutes for casual riders and 12 minutes for members.
  • Member trips peaked around 8 AM and 5 PM on weekdays; casual activity increased on weekend afternoons.
  • Recommended testing recreational membership offers and targeted marketing.

PROJECT 03 / DATA ANALYSIS

Stack Overflow Survey Analysis

IBM Data Analyst Capstone: exploring developer trends and translating analytical findings into insights relevant to hiring and technical upskilling.

Work performed

  • Cleaned and analyzed developer survey data.
  • Visualized trends using Python and Cognos Analytics.
  • Used SQL as part of the analytical workflow.

PROJECT 04 / HACKATHON

Heart Disease Prediction

DSN AI Bootcamp Hackathon, 2024. Developed a predictive model as part of a competitive data science challenge.

  • Selected Logistic Regression as the model submitted.
  • Recorded 87% accuracy on the model results.
  • Ranked 84th out of 257 submissions.
  • Dataset provided by the hackathon organizers.
